Canada Expands CC-295 Kingfisher Rescue Fleet to Winnipeg
Canada is expanding the Royal Canadian Air Force’s CC-295 Kingfisher search-and-rescue network to Winnipeg, the third planned operating location after Comox and Greenwood. Operations at 17 Wing are targeted for January 2027 as the 16-aircraft program advances toward full capability in 2029-30.
