About Us
YourAviationNews is an independent aviation news publication. We report on the airlines, airports, aircraft and safety investigations that shape how the world flies, and we explain what each development actually means for passengers, crews and the wider industry.
What we cover
Our reporting is organised around six desks, each with its own beat and its own specialists:
- Airlines — route networks, fleet strategy, financial results, labour relations and loyalty programmes.
- Aviation Safety — accident and incident investigations, regulatory findings, airworthiness directives and safety recommendations.
- Military Aviation — procurement programmes, fleet retirements, deployments and defence aerospace industry news.
- Airports — terminal and runway projects, capacity and slot decisions, air traffic control and ground operations.
- Aircraft — certification, production rates, engineering and the engineering history behind the types you fly on.
- Passenger Experience — cabins and seating, service standards, pricing, disruption handling and passenger rights.
How we work
Every story we publish starts from primary material wherever it exists: accident dockets and preliminary reports, regulatory filings, airline and manufacturer statements, court records, tender documents, published schedules and fleet data. When we rely on other outlets, we say so and we link to them, so you can always trace a claim back to where it came from.
We publish a list of sources at the foot of most articles and we distinguish clearly between what has been confirmed, what is still being investigated and what is analysis or opinion. Aviation safety reporting in particular is a field where early information is often wrong, so we would rather be second and accurate than first and misleading.
Our full approach is set out in our Editorial Standards and Ethics policy.
Independence
We are not owned by, funded by or affiliated with any airline, airport operator, aircraft manufacturer, lessor, trade association or government agency. No advertiser, sponsor or commercial partner is given advance sight of our journalism, and no commercial relationship influences whether or how a story is covered. Advertising and sponsored placements, where they appear, are labelled as such and are kept visually and editorially separate from reporting. Details are in Advertise With Us.
Accuracy and corrections
We get things wrong sometimes, and when we do we fix it openly rather than quietly. Corrections are appended to the article they concern with the date and a short explanation of what changed. If you believe something we have published is inaccurate, please tell us through our Corrections and Clarifications page.
